I designed and implemented a unified innovation structure across their R&D and innovation departments, enabling a clear strategic direction, one Ørsted Innovation portfolio and a fundament for better project resource allocation and collaboration across the involved departments. I also led a Project Alpha, a cross-functional program to explore early-stage innovation opportunities in two of Ørsted’s strategic domains and at the same time train 35 employees innovation tools and methodologies spanning Futures design, Design Thinking and Lean approaches.
I led the company’s innovation transformation efforts, driving strategic change across teams in Denmark and the US. My role combined strategy, innovation management, organisational development, and internal consulting, with a strong focus on building capabilities, identifying future business opportunities and reaching efficiency and cost cutting goals on current core business.
I was hired to establish a new digital business unit, define the digital strategy, and build a platform-based service model to modernise recruitment processes and create new revenue streams.
I led innovation programs that helped SME companies and municipalities address complex societal challenges such as digitization, sustainability, and circular economy. My focus was to integrate design thinking and future-focused innovation into organzational strategy and capability-building. Part of my job was also acting as a Senior Consultant in Public–Private Innovation projects across Europe.
I managed Denmark’s international design branding initiatives, including concept development, exhibitions, and stakeholder partnerships.
