Managing Director, Western Canada, High-Impact Firms (Calgary, AB) – I led the advisory services practice for the BDC in Western Canada focused on Canada’s most promising high growth businesses. The premise of the service was to help these companies scale their advantage to increase their contributions to Canadian employment, exports, investment and to close the productivity gap with their US peers. In my five years at the BDC I worked with approx. 50 such companies, across sectors including agricultural technology, cleantech, big data and cloud computing. I led a team of approximately 20 people across the four western provinces, exceeding all revenue and margin targets by a minimum of 20%, and exceeding 75% in certain years.
