Bernard is a Board Member and a Senior Advisor with a rich background as COO and CIO in the banking sector. He brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record in strategic leadership, technology, digital transformation, process optimization, data management, agile way of working, banking and funds operations, people management. Bernard is used to work in complex, highly challenging and regulated environment, driving technological innovation while maintaining operational efficiency and compliance. In his capacity of C-level in the banking sector in Luxembourg, Bernard is a director approved by the regulator (CSSF). He strongly believes that people and technology can make the difference. As CIO of ING Luxembourg, Bernard was member of the Executive Committee of the bank, responsible of a team of 250 engineers in charge of the delivery of all the TECH services (Platforms, Building Blocks, Enterprise Architecture, Security and Chief Data Office). Bernard joined the Executive Committee of ING Luxembourg in January 2015 as COO and CIO. In addition to the responsibility of TECH, he was also in charge of the operational departments of the bank (Securities, Payments, Lending, Client Services, KYC, Financial Markets Services), the Chief Data Office as well as part of the delivery teams of the new agile organization.
