Following the acquisition by RBC, from Apr 2024 Eleanor led the development of the Regional Banking risk register and controls framework for RBC Canada.
Leading a team of c80-100 people in Vancouver to deliver a wide range of services to countries and their customers across the globe. Scope included oversight of key compliance related activities, such as sanctions screening for all customers, accounts and Users in HSBCnet globally, on-screen restrictions and IP blocking. Also managing key regulatory risk issues, such as internet banking security practices and cross border data sharing. The role also included key global operations/controls including Fraud Operations (24 x 7), reference table management; staff user access management; controls for use of HSBCnet by HSBC departments worldwide; information and training materials for staff and customers; Business Production Support (24 x 7); ‘Americas’ Helpdesk, providing customer training and support to clients across North and Latin America. In addition, functional responsibility for c600 FTE in Global Resourcing within the HSBCnet Centre of Excellence; providing service to customers across the world. Role involved managing budgets in excess of USD15m and obtaining payment from over 90 business partners across the globe, with related governance and tax requirements.
Leading a business programme of projects to dramatically improve the client experience (including on-boarding and ongoing service), including development of technology driven enhancements to the tools used by service agents as well as self-serve functionality for customers. In 2010, led the development of the global Target Operating Model for Client Management in Payments and Cash Management.
