Lead a Chicago-based investment and operating platform focused on opportunistic real estate and operating companies, targeting superior risk-adjusted returns by acquiring distressed assets, non-performing debt, bridge capital, or preferred equity positions. Design and oversee underwriting and operational playbooks for new investments: build the business model, define key value-creation levers, establish execution milestones, and activate operational systems post-acquisition.

Founder/CEO
2010 - 2024

• Founded and built Domu into Chicago’s leading independent apartment marketplace trusted by renters, professional property managers, and institutional owners. • Bootstrapped the company from concept through sustained profitability with no outside capital. • Led all core functions, including product, engineering, design, marketing, sales, and operations, while implementing scalable systems that supported multi-year growth. • Established Domu as a dominant local brand with deep market penetration and long-term customer loyalty. • Executed a strategic exit in 2024 following more than a decade of sustained growth and platform leadership.

Founder/CEO
1991 - Present

• Led development of 600 N. Fairbanks, a 41-story, $140M Helmut Jahn–designed condominium tower that sold out and was recognized as an architecturally significant building in Chicago. • Raised $22M in equity, structured the full capital stack, secured construction financing, and doubled allowable floor-area ratio through a complex air-rights transaction; delivered the project on time and within budget. • Managed and invested in a portfolio of more than 15 limited partnership interests across multifamily, office, hospitality, and venture assets. • Led ownership for a 24,000 SF lakefront development site at 530 N. Lake Shore Drive through acquisition, entitlement strategy, and successful disposition ($9.25MM).

Founder/CEO
2014 - 2019

Developed Chez into one of Chicago’s premier boutique event venues, converting a raw industrial loft into a fully operational, high-design space. • Built the brand, operating model, sales engine, and vendor ecosystem from scratch, establishing a strong position in a competitive events market. • Achieved consistent profitability through disciplined operations and client experience design, leading to a successful exit to Jewell Events Catering.

Managing Partner
1991 - 2019

Former managing partner and current owner of a 73,000 SF historic office building just off Michigan Avenue (The Magnificent Mile) in Chicago. • Oversaw capital improvements, leasing strategy, and tenant retention through 2019 while maintaining strong occupancy in a competitive corridor. • Directed a comprehensive renovation program that contributed to doubling the asset’s value from approximately $15M to more than $33M.
