Managing Director for both Vocento´s Audiovisual area and Agencies area. The Audiovisual area was formed by the content prodcution companies (IZEN-Veralia-Zebra), the film distribution one (Veralia), the TV licensor NET TV (2 DTT channels broadcasted through agreements wtih Disney and Paramount) and the radio business performed in allianace with COPE; all these companies, except the radio one, have been recently sold in positive M&A operations. On the other hand, the Agencies area includes creative agencies (&Rosàs, Tango and Pro Agency), an influencers marketing agency (Yellow Brick Road) and the events production agency (Melé); all of them belong to the & Colective and provide complementary marketing&communication services for brands. Additionally, I run the Music&Entertainment company Shows On Demand and I participate in the management and belong to the board of directors of Madrid Culinary Campus, a Gastronomy&Business University owned by Vocento and Universidad Pontificia Comillas.
Veralia was Vocento's audiovisual holding formed by production companies -BocaBoca, Europroducciones and Hillvalley- and Tripictures, a film distribution company. I was also responsible for the rest of Vocento´s audiovisual business, which included NET TV (2 DTT national licenses broadcasted through agreements with both Disney and Paramount Channel), other regional DTT licenses and the radio business, performed through an agreement with COPE. I run this Group of companies and I led the business transformation to turn a loss-making area into a profitable business, and after achieving this milestone, I negotiated a successful merger with Zebra Producciones to form the Izen Group.
La Verdad is a Regional newspaper leader in Murcia and with local editions in Alicante and Albacete that developed a multimedia strategy with websites, regional TV and radio. I led over 250 employees reaching a €40m turnoverand a €10m EBITDA. Particularly noteworthy was the cultural transformation I drove to shift the company from a single-product mindset to a multimedia one, a remarkable milestone in both the editorial and sales departments. It is also worth highlighting that I had the opportunity to grow the business taking advantage of years of economic prosperity and then, with the 2008-2013 crisis, having to take tough cost restructuring measures as well as boosting deeply innovation in developing new business steams to ensure the viability of the company.
Responsible for global consulting projects in several clients, mostly in the fast consumer goods industry, leading teams and managing the relationships with the clients.
