Led company-wide innovation and experimentation across multiple business units. Designed and implemented innovation systems, processes, and portfolios; accelerated time-to-market; built experimentation governance and tracking (Innovation Accounting); and partnered with product, marketing, engineering, procurement, and sales across Mexico, USA, Argentina, and Brazil. Key Impact: • Reduced time-to-market from 18–24 months to 8 months via new innovation process. • Built Innovation Accounting system to manage 70+ business experiments. • Drove retail experimentation strategy, achieving 100% increase in daily sales per store (Bebbia) in two months. • Mapped and standardized innovation operations with Process Excellence.
Led the design and growth of UNAM’s entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem. My work combined research, instructional design, course development, and hands-on coaching of multidisciplinary teams. I created and delivered university-level courses in entrepreneurship and innovation, coached teams from idea to early validation, and helped build the institutional infrastructure required to support innovation at scale. In parallel, I developed inter-university and international cooperation programs to foster innovation and entrepreneurship, including cross-border initiatives such as G1PEC and Mexico–Colombia collaborations, enabling knowledge exchange and joint venture development. Key Impact: • Designed and launched 2 cross-faculty entrepreneurship courses (now part of UNAM’s academic offering). • Opened and operated 5 innovation laboratories, training hundreds of entrepreneurs. • Led national entrepreneurship workshops (InnovaUNAM) still used today. • Built international cooperation programs to accelerate innovation capabilities.
Served as an Innovation Coach for corporate and entrepreneurial teams across multiple countries. I guided teams through customer discovery, value proposition design, business model innovation, and experiment-driven product development. My role focused on helping organizations replace assumption-based planning with evidence-based learning, improving decision quality and speed in high-uncertainty contexts. Key Impact: • Coached 20+ teams from idea to validation using structured experimentation. • Implemented customer discovery and testing programs inside corporate innovation initiatives. • Enabled teams to build repeatable innovation and experimentation capabilities.
Co-founded and led Oxkali, a venture focused on improving treatment for chronic kidney disease patients through the development of a semi-automatic dialysis machine. I led the team across the full innovation lifecycle: customer discovery with patients and clinicians, problem framing, ideation, rapid prototyping, and early validation. While the venture did not reach commercial deployment, it produced strong technical and clinical learning and was recognized nationally for its innovation impact. Key Impact: • Led multidisciplinary team through customer discovery, ideation, and prototype development. • Won University of Guadalajara Innovation Award (2020). • Won Santander X Mexico Award (2022).
Joined as the company’s second employee, operating as a generalist in a fast-growing clean-tech startup. I worked across technical analysis, waste composition studies, equipment evaluation, proposal drafting, and client communication. This role required constant context switching between engineering, commercial, and strategic challenges. Key Impact: • Contributed to €1M funding proposal and first major client pitch (AZ Alkmaar Stadium). • Conducted technical analysis of waste streams and equipment performance. • Supported early commercial and operational scaling.
Conducted research on policy and market expectations for hydrogen storage initiatives, producing decision-support insights for energy sector stakeholders.
