About Me
Stephanie Burrell is Head of Sustainability at Smart DCC, the organisation running the UK’s smart meter data network, where she leads their Responsible Business programme. Her work is purpose-driven and aims to drive positive environmental and social impact. Previously, she was the Forest Economy Lead at the World Economic Forum where she led an initiative to accelerate the transition towards harnessing the full ecological, economic, and social potential of nature. Prior to joining the Forum, she was a Technology Consultant at Accenture. She has a first-class BA in Biological Sciences from the University of Oxford and a master's degree in Global Affairs from Tsinghua University where she studied as a Schwarzman Scholar. Stephanie has represented the UK at the Youth G20, was selected as an Atlantic Council's 2025 Millennium Leadership Intensive participant and was a member of the Sutton Trust Alumni Board, a charity aiming to improve social mobility and address educational disadvantage.
