Alexander Matina is a senior investment professional, board member, and strategic advisor with over 25 years of experience across public and private markets, family offices, and special situations. He is the Founder and Managing Member of LANECR Consulting, where he advises family offices and investment principals on portfolio construction, private investments, restructurings, and complex capital structure decisions, and serves as a director and senior advisor to select public and private companies. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of NuRide Inc., a publicly traded company and the post-reorganization successor to Lordstown Motors, where he is responsible for managing remaining claims and litigation assets, overseeing capital structure and governance matters, and maximizing the company’s substantial net operating losses. Previously, Alex was Portfolio Manager and CIO at MFP Investors, the $1.5 billion family office of Michael F. Price, where he led investments across value equities, private equity, private credit, distressed and restructuring situations, and managed direct financings, rights offerings, and complex transactions. Alex serves/served on multiple public and private company boards across energy, defense, cybersecurity, specialty finance, and consumer sectors, and is frequently engaged in restructuring, M&A, and transition situations. He is particularly interested in board roles, fractional CIO mandates, and senior advisory engagements with families, founders, and investors seeking experienced capital allocation and governance support. He holds an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School and a BS, Summa Cum Laude, from Fordham University.
