As Chief Human Resources Officer at Badger, I was responsible for the full people and culture mandate across the organization, supporting a large, complex field-based workforce across Canada and the United States. I worked as a key member of the executive leadership team and strategic partner to the CEO and Board, ensuring that our people strategy, organizational design, leadership capability, and governance frameworks aligned with business strategy and operational performance. My responsibilities included executive leadership of HR, talent management, leadership development, labour and employee relations, compensation and benefits, succession planning, workforce planning, and health, safety, and employee well-being. I also led culture development and change initiatives during a period of significant organizational growth and transformation — strengthening leadership effectiveness, accountability, ethics, inclusion, and values-based decision-making across the enterprise.
As Vice President, Human Resources at ATCO, I led the people, culture, and organizational components of major acquisitions, mergers, and divestitures across the enterprise. I partnered closely with the CEO, executive leadership team, and Board to assess organizational readiness, manage risk, and ensure workforce stability and leadership continuity throughout complex transactions. My responsibilities included HR due diligence, organizational design, leadership and talent assessment, labour and employee relations impacts, change management, transition planning, and post-merger integration. I also ensured alignment of compensation, governance, culture, and operating models to support both short-term continuity and long-term strategic value creation. A significant part of my role included supporting leaders through periods of uncertainty and transformation — helping maintain trust, engagement, and ethical leadership while navigating regulatory, financial, and operational complexity.
