Built relationships with a variety of stakeholders to promote economic justice in the US through the passage of innovative bipartisan policies at the federal level. Policy Adviser For The Western Balkans & Enlargement To EU Mission, September 2013 - August 2015 Orchestrated design and implementation of national policies covering the Western Balkans, including drafting of decisions to advance EU enlargement. Led Stabilization and Association Agreement negotiations with Kosovo while also liaising with EU and US policymakers regarding other issues such as the Dayton Agreement. Conducted associated legal research and fostered partnerships with non-profits. Public Policy, Legal & Political Adviser To NATO Mission, August 2010 - August 2013 Advised and counseled senior leaders on policy and legality of NATO political and partnership initiatives and operations. Directed efforts to advocate and execute public diplomacy initiatives. Scope of responsibility included managing media relations. Participated in the development of NATO budget. Strengthened relationships with non-profits to bolster public support of NATO. Fostered multi-stakeholder partnerships as a scientific and academic committee member through NATO Science for Peace and Security Program. International Public Law, Human Rights Adviser, February 2005 - July 2010 Guided negotiations regarding national and international legal human rights instruments. Created periodic monitoring reports on compliance with human rights treaties. Supported other countries in initiating and continuing human rights dialogues with other governments and stakeholders. Produced research and reports on several core thematic issues related to democracy, political rights, and civil liberties to inform the policy debate. Represented Slovakia at various UN, OSCE, and EU events. Served as the Executive Secretary of the Slovak Chairmanship of the Council of Europe, a strategic partner to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia and other agencies, drafting the Chairmanship vision (priorities) and ensuring its effective translation into disciplined decision-making and operating plans.
