Senior Consultant – Patents is responsible for managing and advising on all aspects of patent strategy, prosecution, and portfolio management. This includes conducting patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses, drafting and prosecuting patent applications, and providing strategic intellectual property counsel to clients or internal stakeholders to protect innovations and optimize IP value.

Monitoring third party patent applications (3PP), competitor portfolio and Industry trend  Assist in making clear choices when deciding on major acquisition  Acts as the technical advisor for the senior leadership team and provide critical input in product development.  Create IP strategy for new filings (i.e., filing country list, validation list and FFL)  Provide strategic support by routinely delivering all types of milestone Fredom to Operate searches, opposition searches, invalidation searches meeting pre-determined quality metrics.  Support different functional teams on IP matters and building a holistic strategy for the organization  Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure efficient and effective functioning of the team with quality mind set  Develop and implement strategic goals and objectives that align with company values and business plans with cLEAN and digital solution  Monitor team performance and provide ongoing feedback and performance evaluations.  Coordinate and collaborate with other departments to improve processes and resolve operational issues.  Recently started supported Device R & D (DDS & BIH) with change in its priorities, which led to new tasks like Patent & Technology Scouting and Due Diligence searches.

Responsible for the management of the Patent Coordinator team  Responsible for patent prosecution for India cases and World-wide cases.  Responsible for People delivering support to the global patent organization by delivering patent support services.  Monitor key technology trends and provide input to R&D team.  Engage and collaborate with people of different cultural background.  Coach colleagues and support team development.  Team-work skills, ability to get results through others and to work in a highly motivated team.  Experience and willingness to work in an international matrix organization.  Empowered staff members to contribute to continuous improvement, quality mindset and growth of the organization.

Prosecuting India patent applications in technology area i.e., Medical Device  Provide strategic support to the global patent organization by delivering various types of IP searches.  Routinely delivers all types of milestone Fredom to Operate searches, opposition searches, invalidation searches meeting pre-determined quality metrics.  Understands and Applies substantive patent law in all types of searching and prior art review activities.  Supervises the work done by the junior members of the searching Team.  Acts as the technical advisor for the Device searchers.  Assists with Personal Improvement Program for staff members as and when required  by the Manager
