Innovative C-suite executive and robotics pioneer with a proven track record of developing advanced technologies, scaling ventures, and driving global strategy. As the former SVP of EMEA at OffWorld, I was involved with the development and delivery of autonomous robotic systems engineered for extreme environments, including both terrestrial and space mining. Prior to this, I founded Ryonic Robotics - Africa's first industrial robotics company (long before the current robotics and AI boom and hype) to export locally designed robots for extreme environments, and launched the continent's first smart, IIoT-integrated industrial 3D print farm. Blending business acumen with deep, full-stack hardware and software expertise, I specialise in the complete product lifecycle: transforming raw concepts into qualified, certified, industrialised and commercialised products. Currently, I work as a co-founder at Bumatic, and a consultant and advisor, guiding technology ventures across the EU region focusing on robotics. Previous as a consultant in South Africa I assisted other startups developing robotics, AI, IoT, and AR/VR technologies. My professional journey has been blessed, interesting, diverse, and it also included many business & technology lessons learned the sometimes very hard way, adding to my very unique and valuable experience that I have gained over decades working in various industries.
