I have supported Karin Hovlin in stepping from an operational and more junior HR role into a senior, strategic HR position at group level. Our work has focused on helping her shift from daily HR administration to a broader corporate and strategic HR perspective, while also enabling the organization to define new priorities within the people area. Karin has developed remarkable stability and confidence in her professional role and today leads HR at the top of a fast-growing group with around 90 subsidiaries and 3,000 employees.
When, in the autumn of 2021, I was reflecting on future career paths and professional challenges, I had the opportunity through Volvo to speak with the coach Hanna on several occasions. In our dialogue, Hanna worked from the perspective of the brain and guided me in understanding how my brain collaborates with me — and at times works against me — both in professional life and in everyday life.
