Helping Technosmart to scale its business in the role of COO

Next Sense is a smart building and sustainability software company based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Our team is about 45 people, we concluded our A-round financing of 11,5M€ in late 2024. Next Sense (www.next-sense.com) was created in a merger with Edge Next and Physee, both Dutch sustainability software companies. I formerly worked as the CEO of Edge Next and I am now leading our global customer-facing teams across sales, project management, customer success, and support in a fast-scaling SaaS and advisory company in the real estate and sustainability sector. I am personally responsible for our strategic key accounts including among others Microsoft, Chanel, Pimco and Ardian and manage our global operations teams (sales, marketing, project management), and team development to drive rapid international growth. Main achievements to date include successful merger of the two companies, building unified teams, introducing new offering to existing and new customers and expanding existing business within key accounts. After the merger Next Sense has doubled its MRR in 18 months and has entered into new geographical markets like the Americas with Microsoft.

Edge Next was a fully owned subsidiary of Edge technologies, the world leader in smart commercial building development. Edge Next developed and commercialized smart building software platform for major real estate owners and global tenants. After spending 4 years at Edge and Edge Next, I was appointed as the interim CEO with the main aim of creating an M&A opportunity for the shareholders. In this role, I oversaw business operations and strategic direction for a 25-person smart building software company with app. €2M in ARR. I drove organizational restructuring, customer satisfaction, and commercial excellence. Reported to the group CEO, managed Fortune 500 partnerships, and played a key role in the Edge Next–Physee merger negotiations.
