About Me

I have played virtually every role in IT - from software developer to program manager to CIO. Every step has been hands‑on, people‑centered, and rooted in building solutions that drive business outcomes. Every chapter has shaped how I lead, solve problems and show up for people. I started my career in Chicago in high-touch client-facing IT consulting solving business problems in the financial services and utility sectors. Those years taught me how to listen, how to build trust quickly, and how to deliver when the stakes were high. From there, I transitioned into a San Francisco startup during the early e‑commerce boom — fast decisions, no safety net, everyone doing three jobs. Returning to Iowa, I shifted into corporate IT roles that provided me life balance without sacrificing impact. One of my favorite chapters was serving as VP of IT for a print company growing through acquisition. My team and I built an acquisition playbook, modernized infrastructure and applications, and led multiple facilities through the rigorous work required to achieve SOC7 certification enabling us to print HIPAA materials. It was gritty, detailed, and deeply satisfying work. Most recently, I spent four years at Meta learning the hyperscale data center operations space. I supported three data centers across Ohio, Indiana, and Iowa — including a 400MW flagship facility responsible for some of Meta’s most meaningful “firsts.”Across all of this, a few things have stayed constant: - Creating infrastructure, processes, and operating rhythms where none exist or are insufficient. - Delivering strong improvements under real constraints — budget, timeline, headcount, cutting edge technology. - Making decisions without layers and owning the outcomes. - Meeting roadblocks with optimism and creative problem-solving. - Win-win negotiating with vendors across fiber, hardware, software, co-lo and services, treating vendors like true partners. - Leading with warmth and directness. People know where they stand with me, and they know I am invested in their success. I’m a born and raised Iowa farm girl. I’ve done the hands-on work and I’ve also led teams of brilliant people where my job was to deliver through others. I can do both, and I enjoy both. I’m looking for a role where the work, the people, and the outcomes all matter. If you need someone who brings clarity and optimism, who rolls up their sleeves to steady the team and gets things moving, I’d welcome a conversation.
