About Me
I'm a Fractional CMO who's carried a real revenue number — across VP Marketing roles at On Center Software and ConstructConnect, as CMO at Asite, and as SVP of Marketing at hh2 Cloud Services. Twelve of those years have been in construction technology — the industry that teaches you to sell software to people who'd rather be on a job site than on a Zoom.
The numbers, briefly: at Asite, marketing's pipeline contribution moved from 18% to 53% in year one, and pipeline itself grew 48%. At On Center Software, my team produced a 161% lift in leads and $2.45M in net-new logo revenue. None of it came out of a strategy deck.
Today I run Hamer Marketing Group, a fractional practice for $15M–$40M ARR B2B SaaS companies whose product is strong but whose marketing function isn't pulling its weight yet. I show up as the CMO the CRO actually trusts — operator-side, opinionated, allergic to vanity metrics, and willing to say the thing nobody else in the room will.
I'm based in Texas, host a podcast called The Summit, and hold strong opinions about why most B2B budgets aim at the wrong 5% of the market.
