Newman, PhD, SPHR, SHRM‑SCP, CCP, CBP, CELS, CPLP, is an accomplished human resources and organizational development executive with more than 27 years of experience leading transformative people‑strategy initiatives in both start‑up and global corporate environments. As Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Geo Energy Resources, he oversees the full HR lifecycle for a workforce of 16,000 across five satellite offices and corporate headquarters, driving cultural realignment, talent management, and M&A integration that have delivered 27% revenue growth, doubled operating profit, and multimillion‑dollar savings in turnover and employment claims. Prior to that, he led HR and labor relations for Refrigerated Express, managing policies and programs for 1,500 employees across multiple regions.
Dr. Newman holds a PhD in Organizational Management from Mountain State University, an MBA and BBA in Human Resource Management from Southeastern University, and is certified in SPHR, SHRM‑SCP, CBP, CCP, CELS, CPLP, and as an MBTI facilitator. He serves on the Board of the American Council on Adult and Technical Education and advises Bank of America, Schlesinger Group, and the Gerson Lehrman Group.
