Recruited into new role to drive the implementation and adoption of new models, technologies, and programs to support Board of Commissioners’ approved sustainability policy across the agency focused on enhancing compliance within a large regional transportation agency which operates transportation assets including airports, ports, bridges and tunnels. Selected Solutions & Impacts: ■ Recommended and drove the verification of yearly Green House Gas and Criteria Air Pollutant Inventories as well as the purchase of carbon offsets. Calculated the carbon footprint across all facilities with The Climate Registry (TCR). ■ Shepherded the agency to participate in the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) for the first time, and worked on GRI reporting for airport sustainability plans. ■ Represented the Port Authority at meetings with the public, federal, state, and city agencies, including serving on task forces and committees related to resiliency and environmental programs.
