Fractional CCO | LGBTQ+ Inclusion & Advocacy Communications | EU-Based

About Me

I'm a communications strategist and advocacy executive from the US with 25+ years of experience — starting in corporate marketing and creative direction, then moving into political communications, legislative strategy, and global public education campaigns. I work fractionally with NGOs, advocacy organizations, and corporate DEI and HR teams that need senior communications leadership without a full-time hire. My background is unusual in this space: I spent the first half of my career as a graphic designer, creative director, and marketing director for companies ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500s. That executional foundation — brand strategy, audience segmentation, campaign architecture — is what separates my advocacy communications work from consultants who come purely from the policy world. I don't just advise on what to say. I know how to build the systems and materials that make it land. For the past decade, I've consulted for the Human Rights Campaign, the National Education Association, and organizations on five continents. I've developed national training programs, written policy guidance used by thousands of advocates, advised institutions on LGBTQ+ inclusion communications, and trained educators, healthcare providers, and spokespeople to communicate effectively in politically hostile environments. My work has been covered by the New York Times, PBS NewsHour, MSNBC, and Forbes. I'm now based in Spain and work with clients across the US, EU, and internationally, on both retainer and project bases. I bring particular depth to organizations navigating LGBTQ+ inclusion, anti-DEI pressure, or stakeholder communications where getting the wrong messaging carries real reputational or operational risk.
